Freer Percussion K7 X-Large Blue Poly

Freer Percussion K7 X-Large Blue Poly

1 ¼” blue ball on rattan shaft. Larger head size and more mellow tone than K6, at about the same weight. Hardness Scale = 5

Rattan shaft 7.5mm thick ( + or – due to natural taper of rattan ) and 13.5” long.

Larger than K6 but only slightly heavier weight ball. For it’s size, it is very easy to maneuver and is slightly softer than the K6.  Most compare the hardness and sound to some very famous blue balls made by other companies but prefer the larger head size/weight in the orchestra. Great for many Messiaen pieces, Shostakovich Polka, Firebird (first excerpt) Wozzeck and MANY others. Also excellent on wood blocks and temple blocks. Numerous various uses for percussion ensemble and solo/recital pieces.
